At Blackthorn we make what the customer wants, so our kitchens fit our customers' style rather than fitting a particular category. A kitchen doesn't have to be just 'contemporary' or just 'country', it can bring inspiration from lots of elements, making it unique for you.
Through consultation sessions with our design team, aspects of any style you wish can be included - all made to the same high standard of workmanship using quality materials, that is the basis of all cabinetry produced by Blackthorn.
This means that your kitchen can be as rich as your imagination and our expertise combined, ensuring you receive the timeless elegance of a Blackthorn kitchen, with your individual style requirements.
Make your kitchen your own.

Beautifully dressed in their inimitable style, Jonny + Emma’s kitchen is fresh and crisp, yet cheerfully inviting. The main cabinets are painted in Farrow & Ball’s Stony Ground, with the island and other accents in Farrow & Ball’s Dix Blue, all cabinets were given an aged finish to suit the design brief of ‘Farmhouse Kitchen’. The style of Emma + Jonny’s kitchen was strongly influenced by traditional country kitchens, and was designed to complement the
Joanne and Peter have a spacious kitchen with high ceilings that perfectly show off their reclaimed light fittings, lovely dark wooden flooring, and plenty of windows that flood the room with light. Their kitchen units are, for the most part, kept beautifully simple in style with splashes of bold colour: the island is painted in Farrow & Ball’s Stiffkey Blue and one singular red wall unit in Blackthorn’s Doran Red – both of which pop against Farrow & Ball’s Purbec
Karen and Russell's new home is beautiful and spacious with an open and light quality. Their kitchen was designed with traditional elements such as simple but decorative cornice and a carved corbel under the breakfast bar that is subtly ornate. Aside from kitchen units, Russell and Karen also have a Blackthorn table, bench, and chairs in a rustic country style, a beautiful traditional-inspired Blackthorn dresser, and utility room units including a window pelmet, shelving and a clever li
Ivan and Helen’s home is a stunning example of their inimitable style, full of unique pieces that they have collected over the years. Their kitchen is a bright and open room with traditional-inspired cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball’s Manor House Gray and accents of Blackthorn’s own Doran Red on key features such as the larder. The Doran Red wash stands out starkly against the cool neutral tones of Manor House Gray and brings out the deep oxblood found in Helen and&nb
Graeme and Andrea had built an extension onto their house and asked us to help them extend their existing kitchen now that they had more space. So after having a look at their original kitchen, we made them three pieces; a dresser, an island and a sideboard, all complementing their original kitchen and in keeping with the lighter feel to their newly renovated kitchen.
Having recently downsized, Elizabeth and Robert found that their new kitchen area had limited space, so they came to us to see if we could make them a larder that also included a table area where they could sit down to a quick breakfast. To meet their space-saving needs, we included a small oak table-top that pulls out from the middle of the larder like a drawer, and included a dowel to stop it from being accidently pushed back in while still in use. Elizabeth and Robert’s larder is hand
Trevor and Alison were looking for a traditionally made solid in-frame kitchen with an elegantly classic look that worked hard for them as a family for everyday use and still looked great for the occasional party or gathering. With lots of clever little additions to ease and enhance the use of the kitchen, Trevor and Alison have a large and stylish island made up with extra storage and a large seating area that extends around three sides, a ‘magic corner’ in their pots and pans cabi
Situated at one end of an 'L' shaped room Ciara and Justin's kitchen has a homely yet spacious feel to it. We designed their kitchen with a certain playfulness to suit them as a young family, using a complementary combination of Cinder Rose and Dix Blue from the esteemed Farrow & Ball paint range, along with an oiled Iroko plank worktop and our own range of in-house stains and polishes for the exposed wood finishes. Personalised touches on doors, drawers and throughout give thi
